About us
We are a small family business based in Thomastown, VIC. We specialise in all things custom, so if you don't find exactly what you're after then please contact us and we will do what we can to bring your idea to life. We know our name can be a little confusing to say for those who aren't from New Zealand. Whānau means family and is pronounced far-no. The reason behind the name is that we are a family business.
When it comes to our designs we wanted them be just like mum and dads kitchen, dream kitchen or to really add that "WOW" factor to their play spaces. Kids love to be just like their parents which is why we encourage you to bring out some rice, flour, pasta and other items you may use in the kitchen and let your little ones get creative with some sensory play.
Our kitchen names are actually just numbers. If saying the names is a little tricky then refer to them as 1, 2, 3 etc. Alternatively Anika Moa has a very lovely voice and has some kids songs that are perfect for learning so check her out on Spotify, Youtube etc.

We originated in our carport in 2019 with just an idea and now here we are in our factory shipping Australia wide with one of the largest ranges of mud kitchen designs in Australia.
